New Twist in the NEET 2026 Paper Leak Investigation
The NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy has taken a new turn after investigators discovered WhatsApp messages carrying the “Forwarded Many Times” label. Officials believe this tag indicates that the alleged question papers and answer keys were circulated rapidly across multiple groups before the examination.
According to sources, the documents were initially shared with students as “guess papers” and “100% common questions.” However, after the exam, several questions reportedly matched the actual paper, raising serious concerns over the integrity of the examination process.
Network Spreads from Nashik to Sikar
Preliminary investigations have revealed possible connections between education hubs in Nashik (Maharashtra) and Sikar (Rajasthan). Authorities suspect that certain coaching networks, Telegram channels, and WhatsApp groups were involved in distributing the leaked material.
Investigators are now trying to determine which device first circulated the documents and who further amplified their spread.
Social Media Under Investigation
Probe agencies say that the accused allegedly used social media platforms to disguise the leaked paper as “study material” and “prediction sets,” preventing students from immediately suspecting foul play.
Cybersecurity experts believe that features such as WhatsApp’s “Forwarded Many Times” tag could become important digital evidence in future investigations, as they help indicate large-scale message circulation.
CBI and Cyber Teams Intensify Probe
Following nationwide outrage, central agencies including the CBI and cybercrime units have intensified the investigation. Authorities are examining digital records, chat histories, and electronic devices linked to the suspects.
Several individuals are reportedly being questioned, while mobile phones and laptops have been sent for forensic analysis.
Officials have stated that strict action will be taken against those found guilty in order to prevent such incidents in the future.
Students and Parents Express Anger
The paper leak controversy has triggered anger among students and parents across the country. Many candidates claim that months of hard work have been overshadowed by allegations of unfair practices and leaked papers.
On social media, demands for stricter examination security and stronger anti-paper leak laws have also grown louder.
