NTA Steps Up Security Ahead of NEET-UG 2026 Re-Exam
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced extensive security measures for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, including a nationwide mock drill at examination centres on June 20.
The mock drill, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, will involve police, district administration officials, and central agencies. Its objective is to test entry procedures, surveillance systems, security checks, and emergency response mechanisms before the examination day.
Three-Tier Security Arrangement
A three-layer security system will be implemented across all examination centres. Police personnel, administrative officials, and representatives from central agencies will oversee the process. Reports indicate that more than 2.5 lakh security personnel will be deployed nationwide to ensure transparency and prevent any irregularities.
NTA Rejects Viral Video Claims
Meanwhile, the NTA has dismissed a viral social media video related to the NEET re-exam, stating that it contains factual inaccuracies. The agency has advised candidates and parents to rely only on official notifications and avoid misinformation.
Focus on Fair and Transparent Examination
Following concerns over paper leaks and exam security, the NTA has strengthened its protocols to eliminate any possibility of malpractice. Officials believe the mock drill will help identify and address potential gaps before the examination.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled for June 21, with thousands of candidates expected to appear across the country.
