Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Robert Maersk Uggla, chairman of the global shipping and logistics company Maersk, in Gothenburg, Sweden. During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding investment opportunities in India and strengthening cooperation in the port infrastructure and logistics sectors.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi stated that India is rapidly emerging as an important hub for global trade and supply chains. He highlighted that the government is continuously working toward modernizing ports, improving cargo transportation efficiency, and reducing logistics costs.

The discussions particularly focused on expanding port infrastructure, shipping networks, and advanced logistics facilities. Both sides also explored possibilities for increasing investments in India and building long-term strategic partnerships.
