Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on 18 June 2026 as part of the final phase of his European tour. Members of the Indian diaspora gathered outside his hotel to give him a grand and enthusiastic welcome, celebrating the strong friendship between India and France.
During the interaction, Prime Minister Modi thanked the Indian community for their affection and support, emphasizing that the Indian diaspora plays a vital role in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
During his stay in Paris, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings focusing on key areas such as defence, trade, technology, and innovation. He will also participate in the prestigious VivaTech Summit, one of the world’s leading technology and startup events.
The visit is expected to further deepen India–France relations and create new opportunities for cooperation in strategic and emerging sectors.
