Zurich/Washington: Fresh diplomatic momentum has emerged from high-level talks between the United States and Iran held in Switzerland. Despite initial disagreements, both sides agreed to continue negotiations and work toward a broader agreement.

According to sources, the discussions covered key issues including regional security, Iran’s nuclear program, and the situation in Lebanon. Although the talks faced early hurdles, both delegations later expressed willingness to keep the dialogue open.

Officials said the two countries have agreed to prepare a roadmap for a comprehensive agreement within the next 60 days. Several rounds of technical and diplomatic meetings are expected during this period to address unresolved issues.

Experts believe that if the negotiations progress successfully, they could help reduce tensions in West Asia and revive efforts to resolve long-standing disputes over Iran’s nuclear program. However, significant differences remain on several key issues.

The international community is closely watching the next phase of negotiations, as the coming weeks will determine whether the dialogue leads to a lasting agreement or faces further diplomatic challenges.
