Continuous rainfall across the national capital, Delhi, and the NCR cities of Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad has significantly affected normal life. Waterlogging has been reported on several roads, slowing traffic and causing major inconvenience to commuters. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for Delhi, indicating that rainfall is likely to continue over the coming hours.
According to the weather department, moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is expected across Delhi-NCR over the next few hours. Low-lying areas may experience waterlogging, while major roads could witness severe traffic congestion. The administration has appealed to residents to avoid unnecessary travel and keep track of official weather updates.
Heavy rainfall has led to water accumulation at several underpasses and major roads, making commuting difficult for motorists. Office-goers as well as students travelling to schools and colleges are also facing considerable inconvenience. Municipal corporations and the concerned agencies are working to ensure proper drainage and restore normal conditions.
The IMD has advised people to remain alert, avoid waterlogged areas, and stay in safe places during adverse weather conditions. If the spell of heavy rainfall continues, normal life in several parts of Delhi-NCR may be affected even further.
