Ambala: The Sikh community staged a protest in Haryana’s Ambala district following the alleged attack on Gursimran Singh Mand. Protesters blocked the Ambala-Narayangarh Highway and demanded action against those responsible for the incident. The situation in the area remained tense following the incident.
According to the information, Mand was allegedly attacked in the Panjokhra Sahib area. He is under a central security cover. His car was also reportedly damaged during the incident. There were also reports of some people, including police personnel, being injured.
The protesters said that strict legal action should be taken against those responsible for the incident. With this demand, the community staged a protest on the highway and said that it would continue its protest until action was taken.
Following the incident, police had detained some people in connection with the case. However, they were later released amid the protest. This further intensified the matter.
Police are currently investigating the entire incident. The protest and road blockade affected traffic on the highway, causing inconvenience to commuters.
