There is major relief for consumers amid concerns over fuel prices in the country. Leading private-sector fuel retailer Nayara Energy has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel. The company has cut petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre.
According to sources, the decision was taken following a decline in international crude oil prices. Improved global supply conditions and easing geopolitical tensions have reduced pressure on oil prices worldwide, which has had a direct impact on the domestic market.
The revised prices have been implemented across thousands of Nayara Energy fuel stations nationwide. However, the final retail prices may vary slightly from state to state due to differences in taxes and local levies.
Experts believe that this move will provide relief to consumers and could also put pressure on other fuel companies to lower their prices. Such a price reduction by a private oil marketing company has come after a long time, and it is expected to increase competition in the market.
