A grand inauguration of the three-day Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival 2026 was held in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. During the inaugural ceremony at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar, the Chief Minister honored progressive orchardists. On the occasion, he also flagged off vehicles carrying mango consignments for export and released the festival's commemorative publication.

The Chief Minister said that the festival is not merely an exhibition of mangoes but a powerful platform for the farmers of the state and the country to showcase their excellence in agriculture, innovation, and high-quality produce before the world. He expressed confidence that such events would play a significant role in increasing farmers' incomes and giving Uttar Pradesh's agricultural products greater global recognition.

Extending his best wishes to the organizers, honored orchardists, and all participating farmers, the Chief Minister appreciated their efforts. He stated that with the dedication of farmers and the adoption of modern agricultural technologies, Uttar Pradesh continues to achieve new milestones in the field of horticulture.

More than 800 varieties of mangoes are being displayed at the three-day festival, making it a major attraction for visitors and buyers from across India and abroad. Orchardists from different districts are showcasing their unique mango varieties along with modern cultivation techniques.

The Chief Minister also launched a new brand named "Kakori" with the objective of giving Malihabadi mangoes a stronger identity in international markets. The government believes that this branding initiative will boost the export of the state's mangoes while providing farmers with better market opportunities and higher returns.
